Soils

Vallagarina enjoys a moderate continental climate and a wide variety of soils, which allow for the cultivation of many types of vines. On the valley floor, we find sandy and silty soils of alluvial origin, suitable for ready-to-drink white wines. In the hilly areas, the soils of glacial origin, dolomitic and calcareous, produce white wines suitable for ageing. Finally, the Isera and Brentonico areas feature basaltic soils, well-structured, ideal for both sparkling wine bases and for the production of quality red wines.
