Trentini premium
QUATTRO VICARIATI
A particularly prestigious “Bordeaux red” that takes its name from the Quattro Vicariati area, including the municipalities of Ala, Avio, Brentonico and Mori, in Vallagarina. This is the most vineyard-rich area in the whole of Trentino, the southernmost and therefore often the most suitable for the production of superior red wines. A historic label for Cavit, created in the mid-1960s, it remains a highly prized wine to which particular attention is paid in the vineyard and in the winery. The wine is aged in barriques and in small French oak barrels, which give it fruity aromas and balsamic sensations, with noble tannins that make for a long and enveloping finish.
Grape varieties
70% Cabernet Sauvignon with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc and 30% Merlot.
Organoleptic characteristics
Intense ruby red colour. On the nose it offers fruity hints reminiscent of plum and blackberry, with delicate balsamic sensations accentuated by the evolution in the bottle. On the palate it demonstrates excellent balance with notes of ripe red fruits and light hints of vanilla. Savoury and soft with noble tannins. Long and enveloping finish.
Pairings
Pasta with tasty sauces, grilled meat and mature cheeses.
