Sella Ronda and much more: are you ready for the most exciting SkiTours in the Dolomites?

We all love winter because it also means trips to the mountains, lots of snow and great skiing!

If you want to spend a day or a week-end up in the mountains, and especially if you are planning a ski week, Trentino is the favourite spot, not only for its splendid pistes in the Dolomites, but also for the ultra-modern facilities and the many services offered, and of course the many events that visitors can enjoy during the evenings. For those determined to live their skiing holiday (almost) without ever removing their skis, Trentino provides numerous vast ski areas that can be accessed using a single ski pass.

Some years ago, Val di Sole created a vast single Ski Area comprising Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Marilleva and Folgarida, with new ski-lift facilities (including the Pinzolo-Campiglio Express gondola lift which can take you from Doss del Sabion to the Ski Area in Campiglio in just 16 minutes)  and a choice of 150 km of pistes of varying difficulties (including the Dolomitica, the longest and steepest piste, and the canalone Miramonti, the legendary World Cup piste). All these pistes can be accessed using a single ski pass. Snowboarding enthusiasts can try the snowpark, one of the finest in the Alps. In this way you can make the most of the landscape of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Another splendid experience is the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta, where you can ski over 380 km of pistes through the Brenta Dolomites, another recognized UNESCO World Heritage, and the Adamello-Presanella and Ortles-Cevedale massifs. The Skirama carousel includes the resorts of Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo in Val Rendena, Folgarida, Marilleva, Pejo and Ponte di Legno/Tonale in Val di Sole e Lombardia, Andalo-Fai della Paganella, Monte Bondone, Alpe Cimbra-Folgaria and Lavarone.

The Dolomiti Superski is a single ski-pass which allows you to ski in 12 resorts totalling 1,200 km of pistes. And if you want to try out the most breath-taking tour that you can take using this pass, most people will without doubt recommend the Sella Ronda with the Giro dei Quattro Passi – the four passes of Pordoi, Sella, Gardena and Campolongo. You don’t need to be an expert skier – you just need a little skill and you can experience one of the world’s most spectacular runs, without removing your skis for 26 of the total 40 kilometres, from one Ladin valley to the next – Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba and Val di Fassa – but you will need 5 – 6 hours.
