Bottega vinai
Lagrein
Cultivated since the 16th century by the Benedictine Fathers in Gries in Bolzano, the Lagrein grape variety is also widespread in Trentino, to the point of endorsing the opinion that its name may originate from Vallagarina, where it found particularly suitable environments for its growth. It is a native vine with the noblest qualitative characteristics. It prefers warm, sheltered environments, although its late budding prevents it from being damaged by spring frosts. This wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel, malolactic fermentation in barriques, and is finished with ageing in wood. This gives intense fruity aromas and a hint of vanilla, with a perfect balance on the palate between elegant tannins and freshness.

Organoleptic characteristics
Very intense ruby red colour. On the nose, intense hints of berries, such as raspberry, redcurrant and blackberry, and a note of vanilla given by the ageing in wood. The remarkable olfactory complexity is also found unmistakably in the mouth, in all its fullness. A wine with a remarkable structure, which presents a perfect balance between tannins and freshness, with a good persistence on the palate.
